
Hannah Duff
Teacher
Hannah Duff is a choral conductor, soprano, pianist, musicians’ wellness pedagogue, and doctoral candidate in Choral Conducting at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music (CCM). She is the Assistant Director for CCM Chorale and University of Cincinnati Choruses treble chorus.
Previously, Hannah was Director of Choral Activities and Voice Lecturer at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, where she was featured as a First-Year Instructor of the Year. While in Durango, she was also the choir director at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango, where she spearheaded fundraising to premiere compositions by underrepresented composers and provide scholarships for young musicians to learn leadership and musical skills as choral scholars in the ensemble. Hannah earned Master of Music in conducting and Bachelor of Music Education degrees from the Eastman School of Music, where she conducted several ensembles, assistant directed the Eastman Opera Theater, taught undergraduate music theory, and won the Teaching Assistant Prize for Excellence in Teaching in 2024.
Hannah is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor who incorporates movement and mindfulness practices in classroom and rehearsal settings and has published and presented research on incorporating these techniques in music pedagogy. She is currently conducting research on injury risk reduction for conductors as part of her doctoral studies at CCM and teaches yoga for Annex Yoga Studio in Cincinnati. When she is not making music, Hannah can be found practicing yoga, hiking, drinking coffee, and climbing.
